1. just wondering what is the difference in these 3?
2. and in these 3, what does a scanner/photocopy machine use? thx
Optical marks are often just for position of an item, maybe rudimentary computer identification. a bar code is a little more sophisticated.
Optical charachers are characters which can be both human and computer read. they are not used much amymore. Bar codes and such are more reliable.
RFID is not optical at all , but you can have RFID labels which have an optical copy of the RFID, or other relavent data for the item which the label is attached, either as a bar code or optical characters.
A scanner/photocoper just scans or copies what it sees in its optical sensor. they could have software which decodes bar codes to take action. in theory, a scanner/copier could have an RFID reader installed, to read the RFID of scanned/copied items.
Optical mark, optical character, rfid?
